EMPOWERING STUDENT SUCCESS - PREPARATION COURSE GOAL
- Improved ability to study in English, academic language
- Give a basic knowledge about academic studies in Sweden
- Introduction to an alternative process of learning - problem-action-reflection orientated
- Basic knowledge in research and writing a mini-thesis
- Orientation about Swedish history, culture, geography, religion and society
- Basic skills in the Swedish language
- Handle practical preparations - Visa, travelling, accommodation, clothing, food and more

preparation course - basic conditions
Half a day per week during the spring 2024 plus project work
Starts 27 April ends 3 August, total 10 sessions
Venue in central Bangkok at the Outdoor School Bangkok
The Course fee to be paid before the start of the Preparation Course is 29 000 THB or approx. 8500 SEK
The Course fee can be paid by:
- the student and his or her family
- the sending university
- the receiving university
- a company or an organisation
- a scholarship
- or by a combination of above

The preparation course offered by SIIS is meticulously developed and structured to guide Asian students through every facet of their academic journey in Sweden, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and network for success. Ms. Parityada Punthapong
Mr. Peter Bjork a Swedish citizen with a wealth of experience in preparing Thai and Asian students for university studies in Sweden. Mr. Peter holds a bachelor degree from Upsala University and a master in management from Chalmers University of Technology. He is currently President of SIIS and of Thai Swedish Chamber of Commerce
Ms. Parityada Punthapong a Thai citizen, is the founder of Outdoor School Bangkok and the Puntha Foundation. Ms. Parityada has studied and lived in Sweden and holds master degrees from both Malardalen and Lund Universities. She is currently Managing Director of SIIS and Manager of the Outdoor School Bangkok and the Puntha Foundation
